This is the official site for the Using Technology Devices in Physical Education via the Internet sponsored by Bonnie's Fitware, Inc. Learn how to use technology in physical education from the comfort of your own home.
This course is designed to introduce physical educators to the use of pedometers, heart monitors, body composition analyzers, blood pressure devices, spirometer, peak flow meters, accelerometers, digital camera, and digital camcorders in physical education. Participants will design their own standards-based lesson plans using a technology device as a resource. They will learn class management strategies for using technology in the physical education environment. The participants will complete the course with a comprehensive understanding of the technology devices available for physical education.
Participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the technology devices available in physical education.
- Prepare a lesson plan using at least one technology device as a resource.
- Describe class management strategies for using technology in the physical education environment.
- Complete a detailed evaluation of one type of technology device

For those taking the class for any type of credit - specifics will be explained as we progress through the course.
1. Attendance: completion of 6 online modules.
2. Complete a database of technology devices showing the alignments to national physical education standards.
3. Complete a detailed lesson plan that uses one piece of instructional software as a resource.
4. Complete a detailed evaluation of one type of technology device
5. Describe three different methods for incorporating the use of technology-based devices into a physical education class.
