
Electronic Portfolios in Physical Education

This is the official site for the Electronic Portfolios in Physical Education Online Course sponsored by Bonnie's Fitware, Inc.
This course is designed to introduce physical educators to standards-based assessment and the use of electronic performance portfolios to document student learning. Participants also will learn to use pre-designed electronic portfolios and create their own electronic portfolios.
Participants will be able to:
- Describe the relationship between standards and assessment
- Explain portfolios, including electronic portfolios
- Identify pre-designed electronic portfolios
- Use pre-designed electronic portfolios
- Create an electronic portfolio

For those taking the class for any type of credit - specifics will be explained as we progress through the course.
1. Attendance: completion of 6 online modules.
2. Write an essay describing the relationship between standards and assessment.
3. Write an essay describing the different types of portfolios.
4. Complete a sample pre-designed physical education portfolio.
5. Complete a sample pre-designed volleyball portfolio.
6. Complete a sample pre-designed health-related fitness portfolio.
7. Create an electronic template for student use as a portfolio for physical education.
