Project 1 - Introduction to Technology in Education and Physical Education (chapters 1 and 2). Have students introduce themselves using Inspiration (trial version).
Project 2 - Creating Lesson Plans for Physical Education which Incorporate Technology (chapter 9 and Appendix A). Have students evaluate software and create lessons plans that address both the NETS-S and NASPE standards.
Project 3 - Technology Devices Used in Physical Education (chapters 4, 11, and 12). Have students evaluate hardware (using research studies), create a budget (using a spreadsheet) for purchasing devices, and write lesson plans for using the hardware.
Project 4 - Physical Education Productivity Software (chapters 3 and 5). Have students create brochures using desktop publishing software and following all the design principles.
Project 5 - Capturing Audio/Video Images for Use in Physical Education (chapter 6). Have students create a short instructional video using Microsoft Movie Maker or Apple iMovie.
Project 6 - Creating Animations (chapter 3 and 5). Have students create simple animations. Software options include: PowerPoint, Flash, Director.
Project 7 - PowerPoint Presentations (chapters 3, 5, 6, 7). Have students create a PowerPoint Presentation that follows all the design principles.
Project 8 - Creating Web Pages(chapters 8 and 13). Have students create a 5-page instructional web site.
Project 9 - Electronic Portfolio (chapter 10). Have students create an electronic portfolio using web design software that showcases their work in this course.
Project 10 - The Future of Technology in Physical Education (chapters 14 and 15). Have students write an essay on the future of technology in physical education.
